The company has now planned to adopt magnesium chassis along with MegVapor technology for the betterment of the Surface tablet as this will enable the device to feature an external chassis of the same kind to the conventional metal chassis. This method has a very low yield pace and this affects the company in order to produce a mass of new tablet devices. As a matter of fact, the software giant has not yet made confirmations regarding the rumors.

According to sources, Microsoft had inquired at many metal chassis manufacturers before it made the launch of the Surface tablet. The company inquired of the capacities of the manufacturers and told them that it will be developing about more than five million Surface tablet units by 2012. Finally, the chassis manufacturers had to give up as they could not fulfill the necessary capacity.

Well, the present Surface’s chassis design also features the same kind of peripheral as well as hardiness like the conventional magnesium-aluminum chassis but the downside is caught when it comes to various color choices as the devices becomes heavier. Sources reported saying that a China-based supplier provided chassis but the software giant is force to pay a lot of attention because of the low yield of the supplier. The company looks forward to bring improvements to the process of manufacture as this software giant is a second-tier manufacturer.
