Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL), in the midst of hesitation and doubt regarding the hope and future of its operations carried out expansions of its handset lineup. This lineup has been enhanced with the unveiling of three new Android powered smartphone devices. The details of the launch and t devices are discussed below in details.
Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL), the company having its 21 licences cancelled by the Supreme Court in terms of the 2G spectrum issues is now granting CDMA telephonic services under the brand name of MTS. The licences of the company have validity up to the 7th of September. The company, in order to carry out the continuation of its operations, needs to take part in the auctions so that it secures new licences.
The smartphones that come within the price range of Rs 5,499 to Rs 7,499 are powered by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and is likely to accompany unlimited data plans options. Now SSTL in its lineup of smartphone devices has eight smartphones. Leonid Musatov, the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of SSTL said “With the launch of these three smartphones, we have now brought four new Android Smartphones in less than two months. MTS now offers a comprehensive range of Android smartphones for discerning, on the move, tech savvy youth.”
The smartphone users of SSTL will also be provided with the benefits of free access to the MTS TV for validity of one month from the date it was activated. An integrated communication programme including influencing Out-of-Home (OOH) media, TV commercials, digital media as well as road shows in main cities in India is also supported. SSTL, the business enterprise in association with justice participation of the Russia based Sistem and the Shyam Group of India. Across the country, the company has more than 16 million customers.
