Wammy Series Tablets Slated for Jelly Bean Upgrade in the Fourth Week of September
On grounds of the official statement of the Wickedleak, the Wammy series of tablets will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean next month specifically in the fourth week. This series includes Wammy 7, Wammy Ethos and Wammy Plus. According to a statement by the company, “The Jelly Bean update for the existing Wammy users will be available in the last week of September. Users will be able to update their tablet over the air (no need to connect to PC) and also through the ROM image, shortly after the updated tablet starts shipping to the users.”
The Wammy 7 tab is well designed and runs on ICS Android version at present and is powered by 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A10 processor. It is built with a 7-inch, capacitive 5 point touchscreen along with 512MB DDR3 RAM. The Tab enables 1080p full HD video streaming and is enhanced with 400 MHz GPU supporting advanced flash apps, interactive apps as well as full HD videos. It is embedded with USB port 2.0 for 3G Dongle and RJ 45lAN cable and also accompanies 3.5 mm audio out and microSD slot. It is boosted by a 3,800 mAh li-Pol battery which supports for more than 4 hours along with the Wi-Fi being on. This Wammy 7 tablet PC is currently sold at Rs. 5,249 exclusive of taxes.
The Wammy Ethos is built with a 7-inch capactive touchscreen display resembling a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is enhanced with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal memorya long with a microSD card expandable up to 32GB. It is embedded with a 1.3MP front camera and supports a Mini HDMI. It supports a miniUSB port which enables it to connect to various other devices. It is conveniently portable and weighs 450 grams and is powered by A10 (1.2Ghz) + 400 Mali GPU processor and runs on Android ICS. It is boosted with a 3500 Mah Li-Ion battery and is priced at Rs.8, 999.
The Wammy Plus tablet is built with a 7-inch 5-point capacitive touchscreen display, runs on Android ICS and is powered by a A10 (1.2Ghz) + 400 Mali GPU processor. It is embedded with a 0.3MP front camera and a 2MP rear camera along with support to 3G via built-in SIM slot, Wi-Fi and GPS. It is enhanced with 512MB RAM and is supported with Mini HDMI. It is boosted by a 3000mAh Li-on battery and is priced at Rs.11, 499.
