The tablets market has become highly competitive as different companies are developing various tablets that too accorded with a lot of developed configurations. Apart from the Galaxy Tab of Samsung, Toshiba LT170, Acer Iconia Tab A510, etc. there are also many of the other ones which are available in an affordable price range like HCL ME, BSNL tablets, Micromax tablet and lots more others. After all these now it is the turn of 'Karbonn Mobiles’. It has brought up a tablet named as the Karbonn Smart Tab 1 which is going to represent a platform of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to its Indian audience that too with a low-cost of price. The configurations and price range of the device have been discussed below.
The Karbonn Smart Tab 1 is enabled with a 7.0-inch capacitive LCD display that resembles a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. This display enabled in the device carries 5-point multi-touch feature and its display lets you to view the contents having an impressive clarity. This Android ICS tablet runs on a Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System and is powered by a Dual Core 1.2GHz Processor. Previously there was a rumor that it is to pack a 5.0 Megapixel shooter placed at the back but think
that it was up to the rumor only as it will feature 720p video recording along with HD video playback at 1080p and is equipped with a 2.0 Megapixel front-facing camera only.
This tablet is embedded with an internal memory of 8GB which is user accessible and brings a 512MB RAM. The storage capacity can be expanded up to 32GB of external memory. In terms of its connectivity options the device offers Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI, USB, Bluetooth and WAP data connectivity. The various Apps which have been provided are such as YoutTube, Play Store, Adobe Flash, Office Editor, facilitates for Social Networking, Email along with Instant messaging and lots more others. The Karbonn Smart Tab 1 will bring the High Speed Data Support along with many of the other advanced features.
In addition to the above discussed specifications this tablet is equipped with the various sensors such as Proximity Sensor, G-Sensor and Accelerometer. It also carries 3G3D G Sensor for Gaming Experience and carries the other usual configurations like Multi Format Music Player, FM Radio with recording, provided with Built-in Speakers and includes a 3.5 mm jack. This tablet is empowered with a 3700 mAh Li-Ion Standard battery that ensures a battery backup of 7 hours of Internet surfing time along with 8 hours of video playback time using earphones and 25 hours of music playback. Unfortunately, there is no word related to the price range of the Karbonn Smart Tab 1 but considering the price range meeting the Indian vendors strategy, it should be priced below Rs 10,000.
