Sony Xperia Tablet S got official with quad-core CPU & a set of Accessories

Sony has made the Xperia Tablet S official at IFA 2012 trade electronics. This new Android ICS tablet is a successor to the Sony Tablet S, which got unveiled since last year. As per the press release, the Xperia Tablet S is stuffed with many of the developed specifications that includes a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich as its OS, 9.4-inch IPS OptiContrast display, accelerometer, gyroscope and lots more others. The new Android Sony Tablet S is built with a 9.4-inch LED backlit IPS OptiContrast display with 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and the other display features are as Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine, IPX-4 certified for which it is water proof. The device comes provided with a Loudspeaker along with stereo speakers, 3.5mm jack and the various connectors are such as Memory Card slot up to 32GB, internal storage of 16/32/64 GB storage, 1GB RAM, offered with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, Infrared port and microUSB v2.0 connector.

The various sensors which has been equipped are such as accelerometer, gyroscope, digital compass, GPS, stereo speaker, and ambient light sensor. The camera features are such as an 8 MP rear-facing primary camera with 3264 x 2448 pixels resolution and the other camera features are as autofocus, Touch focus, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, video recording at 1080p@30fps and also carrie5s a secondary front camera of 1 MP, 720p video. It runs on Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System and is embedded with a Chipset of Nvidia Tegra 3.

In terms of its processor, the device is facilitated with a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A9 Processor along with GPU ULP GeForce. The other additional features are such as TV-out (via MHL A/V link), SNS integration, supports MP4/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+ player, Organizer, Document viewer, Photo viewer/editor, Voice memo, Predictive text input, etc. It also comes empowered with a standard battery as Li-Ion 6000 mAh that ensures up to 10 hours of surfing the web and up to 12 hours of video playback. It measures 241.2 x 174.4 x 8.8-11.85 mm and the weight is of 570g (WiFi version) / 585g (3G model).

The Sony Xperia Tablet S is set to be available on September 7th, with a price tag as $399 (16GB), $499 (32GB), and $599 (64GB). Along with the device, the company is also offering some accessories for the Xperia Tablet S and the gifts are a cover (and built-in keyboard) for $99.99, offered with a charging cradle for $39.99, dock speaker for $129.99, and a $24.99 simple stand.
