HCL, the leading offshore IT and software development company has unveiled a tablet PC named as the ME Y2. This tablet is accorded with a lot of amazing features such as Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 7-inch display, 1024×600 pixels, 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, Mali 400 GPU, 8GB ROM, microSD card slot up to 32GB, 2-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front facing camera and many more features.
This ME Y2 tablet is well designed and built with a 7-inch display which resembles a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. It runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and is powered by 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor. It is enhanced with a Mali 400 Graphics Processor which delivers amazing visual quality. It is enabled with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM along with the support of a microSD card slot expandable up to 32GB.
The device is embedded with a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera which enables video calling and video chatting. Not all lost cost tablets support 3G but HCL ME Y2 enables 3G connectivity through a built-in SIM card slot instead of USB dongles. But, the tablet accompanies a number of ports which include a mini-USB port. 6The company has preloaded the device with ME app store so that the users can have access to the applications but the access to the Google Play market is not granted as the ME app store does not avail all Android based applications.
The only demerit of the device is that it not grant access to the Google Play Store but does run well in comparison to the new Reliance 3G tab and the iBall Slide. The device is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery and is priced with a price tag of about Rs 14,999.
