The chief executive of Samsung, the well known manufacturer of electronic devices had expected and done some forecasts last month regarding the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S3. The predictions were that the Galaxy S3 device is likely to hit the 10 million mark of sales by the month of July. Amazingly, this smartphone device seems to have achieved and crossed the 10 million mark a bit early than it was expected.
The president of the information technology as well as the mobile communication division of Samsung, Shin Jong-kyun reported saying that the Galaxy S3 device which is an Android based smartphone, went beyond and exceeded the mark of 10 million sales. However, the President did not speak out the particular digits of the sales figures. But, according to the reports from various sources, nearly about 190,000 Galaxy S3 devices were being sold per day in the last two months.
This Galaxy S3 handset is one of the smartphones having high demands in the markets and is available via AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile as well as Verizon. Sprint had made announcements in the previous month saying that the “overwhelming demand” is the reason behind the carrier to launch the device so late on the 21st of June. Well, there was a war kinda atmosphere while handing over the handset to the retailers for sale. The Galaxy S3 device was scattered during the patent battle which happened between Apple and Samsung and as the former was putting efforts safeguard itself by a ban against the U.S. sales of the Samsung device.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a well designed smartphone device, built with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display resembling a resolution of 1,280×720 pixels and is powered by a dual-core processor. Apple had targeted this device in order to impose a ban on it but the case was tabled during the rule of Koh last month which said that there are a lot of issues to be put into consideration.
