Six years ago, Nissan, the Japanese car maker was provoked and encouraged to establish its ‘Attractiveness Creation Group for Women.’ six years ago. Ms Rena Sofue, the Manager of the Customer Oriented Engineering Department along with her team has to monitor in order to know how Nissan is superficial for women. The company said that it is making new cars with amazing and stunning design and also said that the company is dedicated in meeting the needs of the female customers. According to the company, some of the Nissan cars do not seem to be appealing towards women and hence it is to perform changes on each of model of this Japanese car maker.
In a report, Ms Rena Sofue in her own words said “Traditionally, women have been perceived to be economically and physically weaker than men. Times are changing now with more women leaving their homes to study or work and becoming part of the larger working community.” Along with a high standard mobility, the women drivers also need to ensure themselves of their security and protection too. To women, cars provide with real comfort, freedom and flexibility but it’s not the same with men. Women prefer a car for their top priorities which are security and comfort and treat a car more than a partner whereas for men, car is an instrument which assures them with the feel of achievement and being successful long with the pride of ownership.
The Manager of Nissan said that some terms of safety are being pursued at many parts of the world as the crime rates are tremendously increasing. She said that cars should be designed in such a way as if they are cocoons so that women are well protected as women need greater protection. A research from the Attractiveness Creation Group confirmed that men and women have completely different reasons to buy cars. Basically, there are differences between men and women and are Brains, physical attributes and social behavior. Talking about the first difference i.e. the brain, the ability to recognize and understand space is much better in men than the women who relate these with logic and emotions.
In terms of physical attributes, its very true that generally, women are shorter than men in height and have weaker muscles especially around their arms and shoulders. Therefore, the driving position or behavior is bit peculiar. When it comes to social behavior, women prefer to wear high heels along with jeans or skirts as attire in many parts of the world. Women who are mothers will obviously have a greater priority towards security. Hence, these discussions made by the company become major inputs when manufacturing a car.
