Spotlight allows iPhone users to search various data available on iPhone. If you are bored with the Spotlight available on your iPhone, then you can replace it with a Webpapp by using a jailbreak tweak available in Cydia. The name of this tweak is WebSpot. This tweak is developed by Vladislav Korotnev. After you have installed this tweak on your iPhone, it will allow you to use any webapp on your iPhone by replacing the Spotlight. Simply go to the Settings app of your iPhone to enter the URL of the webapp. This tweak also allows users to add address bar and toolbar. You can enable address bar and toolbar from the settings.
You can download WebSpot from Cydia. It is available under BigBoss repository. WebSpot is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G, and iPod touch 4G. It is not compatible with iPad 2, iPad and new iPad. WebSpot requires jailbroken iOS device, so you have to jailbreak your iPhone, and iPod touch to install this tweak. After jailbreaking your iOS device, launch Cydia and search for “WebSpot,” then select it from the search result and tap on “Download” button to download and install this tweak on your iPhone. After installing this tweak on your iOS device, you can replace Spotlight with a webpapp on your iPhone and iPod touch.

WebSpot requires iOS 5 or higher, so you have to upgrade your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad to iOS 5 to download this tweak. No new icons will be added by this tweak to the Home screen, so you cannot configure it from the Home screen of your iPhone.
