iPad Mini Screen Size Compared with iPad, Kindle Fire and Nexus 7
We have been hearing various rumors about 7.85-inch iPad mini. Recently Ciccarese Design has created some concept pictures of iPad mini to see how the 7.85-inch iPad will look like. Now Trojan Kitten has made a comparison between the screen size of iPad mini, iPad, Kindle Fire and Nexus 7. He expects that the iPad mini will come with 7.85-inch screen. As we know the screen size of current generation iPad is 9.7-inch. Both Kindle Fire and Nexus 7 features 7-inch screen. Trojan Kitten has created a diagram, which shows the comparison between the screen size of iPad mini, iPad, Kindle Fire and Nexus 7. You can see the screenshot of the diagram posted below.
The above picture clearly shows that iPad mini will be slightly larger than Kindle Fire and Nexus 7. According to this comparison, the screen size of iPad mini will be 50% smaller than the screen size of current generation iPad and 40% larger than the screen size of Kindle Fire and Nexus 7. Various rumors are claiming that iPad mini will come with 7.85-inch screen. Recently John Gruber of Daring Fireball had claimed that a 7.85-inch iPad exists in the research lab of Apple. He had revealed that information when the host Dan Benjamin asked him about the smaller iPad in episode #86 of The Talk Show.
According to various sources, the mass production of iPad mini will be started in September and it will be launched in October this year at a price of $249. Various rumors are claiming that some apps will not work on iPad mini due to its small screen size. Recently Richard Gaywood has created some mockups to see how apps would look like on 7.85-inch screen of iPad Mini. You have to wait until October to purchase iPad mini.
