Apple Releases List of OS X Mountain Lion Compatible Macs

As we know Apple has released OS X Mountain Lion GM to developers. The release of Golden Master version indicates that the final version of OS X Mountain Lion will be released soon. Apple has released the list of OS X Mountain Lion compatible Macs. OS X Mountain Lion supported models are MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer), Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer), iMac (Mid 2007 or newer), MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer), Xserve (Early 2009), MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) and Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer). If you are using one of the above devices, then you will be able to upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.

Apple has released the technical specifications for OS X Mountain Lion. According to Ars Technica, OS X Mountain Lion will not support some 64-bit Macs. OS X Mountain Lion will require OS X v10.6.8 or later. If you want to upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion, then your Mac must have minimum 8GB space and 2GB RAM. They have also started sending email to the registered Apple developers regarding the submission of OS X Mountain Lion apps in the Mac App Store.

OS X Mountain Lion will be released this month. It will cost $19.99. You will be able to download it from the Mac App Store. Recently Apple has unveiled various features of OS X Mountain Lion at WWDC 2012. The interesting features of OS X Mountain Lion are iCloud, new Messages app, Facebook integration, AirPlay mirroring, Notification Center, Dictation, System wide sharing, new Safari, Power Nap, Gatekeeper, and Game Center. The final version of OS X Mountain Lion will come with System wide sharing feature using which you can share anything from your Mac with the click of a single button.
